The building, dating back to the seventeenth century and restored in 2001, still mantains in every aspect the peculiarity of a fortified country residence.
Baglio San Pietro, which is today a cosy hospitality facility, has always been the heart of an ancient farm, where even now the sheeps, cows, pigs, donkeys, rabbits and a lot of other courtyard animals are bred in a traditional manner and are given only the feed the farm itself produces, along with grape, olive, fruit and vegetables.
Therefore, staying here would be for both adults and children an ideal opportunity to come in contact with a country world already unkown to most people.

Nicosia was an important and rich city, where a lot of important artists had worked and where several occupations and power conflicts had left their marks in the numerous churches and baronial mansions scattered hither and yon in the medieval area. However, the city's most precious treasure is the colourfully painted wooden ceiling of St. Nicholas Cathedral, which is a rare example of the Gothic architecture in Sicily, giving the visitors a variegated overview of the sacred and mundane subjects which characterised the medieval way of living in Nicosia.

For example, the small town of Sperilnga is not to be missed, thanks to its age-old castle and the traditional houses dug into the solid rock. Moreover, the guests can go trekking to the Mount Campanito and the Mount Sambughetti and discover their enchanting small lakes; otherwise, they can walk along the gorges and the bends of the Salso river or go for a tour to the Nebrodi Park with its amazing nature and its timeless mountain villages.
\nMade up of four blocks, Baglio San Pietro has 10 rooms, a tearoom, a recreation room, a small library, a multimedia conference room (seats up to 50 people), a small farming museum and several exhibition areas with typical and handcrafted products.
\nThe shared indoor and outdoor spaces have been all created with attention to the small detail and all are well equipped for sport and relaxion activities as well as for cultural, recreational and cultural ones.
\nThe great restaurant of this holiday farm is worthy of particular recommendation, as it is the ideal place for the organisation of parties and banquets to taste the typical and delicious food of this area. The presence of a small rural chapel also allows the executions of impressive religious services.
